A Johnstown man received a life sentence yesterday in Cambria County Court for killing his wife in 2018. Brian Giles was arrested and charged with homicide in May of 2022 following an investigation into the disappearance and death of his wife Nancy. In June, Giles was convicted by a jury for killing her, and then burying her body in a shallow grave along a trial in Johnstown. The day after the verdict, police were seen at a former residence of Giles, located along Franklin Street in the Kernville section of Johnstown. A woman’s body, later identified as a former girlfriend of Giles, was found inside the home. She was later identified as Jilly Todaro. No charges have been filed in her death.
