Pennsylvania wildland firefighters are back home after being deployed to help crews out west. Members of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Bureau of Forestry were sent across the country to assist local first responders with wildfires. The department says the firefighters are not only helping people in those communities, but also learning skills they can bring back to Pennsylvania. More than 100 DCNR firefighters have been sent out west this year, with more deployments expected.
