Middletown Company Fined $5.8 Million For Shipments Tied To Chinese Military

A company based in  Middletown, Pa.,  is being ordered to pay millions of dollars for shipments to parties connected to the Chinese military.   Federal officials say T-E Connectivity Corporation was sending items to companies with ties to China’s military electronics programs.   The items were reportedly considered low-level, including wires and printed circuit-board connectors.   The company reached a settlement that includes a five-point-eight million-dollar penalty.
