Taking the spotlight for Q94’s latest “Local Song of the Week” is the newest single by Altoona’s Walkney. “Take Me” finds Walkney mastermind Derek Mrdjenovich pushing the parameters of his creativity with an edgy and explosive arrangement, catchy song hook and emotional intensity. The accompanying video features lots of rapid fire editing to help sell the song’s agitated theme. Released as a single in early August, “Take Me” is available on various streaming platforms, and listen for it on Q94’s weekly Sunday night local music showcase, the “Homegrown Rocker!”
