A former Catholic priest from Clearfield County has been identified as the pedestrian killed in an alleged DUI related crash on Sunday. Police say 81-year-old Robert Humenay of Grassflat was struck and killed by a side-by-side vehicle along Sportsmans Road in Winburne. The driver of the vehicle is 22-year-old Nathaniel Beers of Smithmill. Beers faces charges of homicide by vehicle, and driving under the influence. Police report that Beers had been drinking at a bar, before illegally operating the vehicle on a country road and crashing into Humenay. Beers was arraigned earlier this week and has since posted bail from the Clearfield County Prison. According to reports, Humenay, who was referred to as “Father Bob” was a beloved figure in his community.
