Pennsylvania Casinos Saw 11 Percent Jump Last Month

You can bet casino owners in Pennsylvania are happy over August’s revenue report.  The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board shows an 11-and-a-half percent jump in revenue last month.  Casinos in the Commonwealth saw over 510 million-dollars in just one month.  The Gaming Control Board credits the jump to an increase in gamblers, and the beginning of fantasy football season.  The Mount Airy Casino Resort in Paradise Township saw a four-percent jump in revenue last month, and is ninth on the Gaming Control Board’s list of top casinos in the state.  The jump in casino revenue also means a boom for state taxes.  The report says August’s haul for the state was over 215-million-dollars.
