A State College man has been accused of raping and suffocating a woman inside a motel earlier this week. Arrested was 38-year old Robert Wason. He reportedly arranged to have a sexual encounter with the woman, through an online advertisement, and then allegedly sexually assaulted and suffocated her while she was handcuffed to the bed. The incident reportedly occurred at the Nittany Budget Motel in Ferguson Township, Centre County. Wason was arraigned yesterday and is facing charges that include rape by forcible compulsion, sexual assault and strangulation. He is currently in the Centre County Prison on $135,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 9th.
