Altoona Woman Behind Bars For Trying To Kill Boyfriend Over Pills

A 43-year old Altoona woman is behind bars after she was accused of trying to kill her boyfriend over the weekend.  Rebekah Edwards is facing charges that include attempted homicide, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, terroristic threats and other related counts.  Reportedly, Edwards attacked her boyfriend with a knife early Saturday morning because she wanted his Klonopin pills.  According to the man’s account, he was asleep and woke up to find Edwards standing over him with a knife against his throat, and she allegedly told him she was going to kill him.  She reportedly pulled the knife across his throat, cutting him.  Edwards was placed in the Blair County Prison.  Bail has been set at $100,000.  A preliminary hearing is slated for October 16th.
