Penn State has issued a statement condemning what it calls “online vitriol” toward Jewish, Arab and Muslim students. Recently, the university has seen an increase in bias reports filed, as a result of comments made online. In its statement the university said it rejected all forms of hate, discrimination, harassment and intimidation. Several Penn State students have been identified online after commenting on protests and events on campus, that relate to the Israel-Hamas war. Reportedly, staff members at the university have contacted each student that has reported harassment and intimidation, in an effort to offer support resources.
