The Hollidaysburg School Board is considering building closures due to finical challenges the district is facing. Earlier this week, the board met to discuss a recent feasibility study that laid out numerous options including closing several of the district’s elementary schools, as well as renovations to move ninth graders into the high school building. The study was requested due to the district’s current financial situation and lower student enrollment. Hollidaysburg is currently facing a budget deficit of slightly more than two-and-a half million dollars. The board will later seek community input once the study is thoroughly assessed.
