Billionaire Elon Musk announced a million-dollar-a-day giveaway in Harrisburg over the weekend. During a rally Saturday in support of former president Donald Trump, Musk said he’ll give a million dollars a day between now and Election Day to someone who signs his petition supporting the U.S. Constitution. The petition specifies support for only the First and Second Amendments. Musk then presented a million-dollar check Saturday to an attendee at the rally, a man from Mechanicsburg. In the meantime the sweepstakes is raising concerns among election law experts and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro regarding its legality. “I think it’s something that law enforcement should take a look at,” Shapiro said on NBC’s Meet the Press on yesterday. “I’m not the attorney general anymore of Pennsylvania, I’m the governor, but it does raise serious questions.”
