The Penns Valley School District in Spring Mills, sent out an alert this morning, that all schools within the district were closed due to a threat. Specifics are unknown at this time, but state police were called in to clear the scene. There are unconfirmed reports that an unspecified threat was written on a wall inside the high school. As a precaution, the district cancelled school for the day. Schools are expected to reopen tomorrow, with additional staff and police presence. An investigation as to who is responsible for the threat, is underway.
