An Indiana County man who admits to leaving four young children at home alone while he went out to a bar is headed to state prison. Police were called to the man’s home in February of 2023 to perform a welfare check and found the children unattended. They later learned the man was at a bar in Johnstown. Forty-nine-year-old William Jefferson pleaded guilty this year to charges of child endangerment, and has now been sentenced to a term of 15 months to three year behind bars.
