A Philadelphia prosecutor is suing billionaire Elon Musk over the one-million dollar giveaway he first announced in Harrisburg. The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office filed the lawsuit Monday, aiming to stop Musk’s America political action committee’s lottery. The PAC is awarding one-million dollars every day until Election Day to a registered voter in swing states who signs a petition supporting free speech and the Second Amendment. Philadelphia’s DA argued the lottery will “irreparably harm Philadelphians” and also “tarnish the public’s right to a free and fair election” if not stopped. The Justice Department reportedly sent a letter to Musk’s PAC warning the giveaway may be illegal.
