A State College resident, who prefers using the pronouns she/her, is heading to trial after threatening to shoot former President Donald Trump. Paul Gavenonis was jailed last weekend while trying to buy a parking pass for Trump’s rally at the Bryce Jordan Center, and while doing so, made threatening comments about wanting to “shoot the guy.” During an interview with the Secret Service, the 74-year-old allegedly laughed about Trump and the rally, and when asked if she believed she could assassinate the former president, Gavenonis said, “Probably yeah.” Yesterday, Gavenonis made an appearance in court, where she waived a preliminary hearing. Gavenonis faces charges of terroristic threats and disorderly conduct, and is currently being held in the Centre County Prison. Bail has been denied.
