Pennsylvania was on the list of states to get hit with Election Day bomb threats. The FBI said numerous battleground states received them. Closer to home, bomb threats were called in last night to several polling places, one of which was here in Blair County. The threat came in last night shortly before 7 at the Blair County Board of Elections office in Hollidaysburg. The threat required the K-9 unit with the Sheriff’s Department to sweep and clear the building. Because of the timing of the threat, precinct poll workers were moved to the Blair County Convention Center. There was also a non-credible bomb threat in Clearfield County. The County Administrative Building, where votes were being counted, received the threat. The facility was cleared for an hour while police swept the building. After the sweep, authorities deemed the threat non-credible. There was also a bomb threat in Centre County at the Willowbank Office Building, which is the county’s election office. Local Police cleared the threat shortly after 8 p.m. Finally, the Cameron County Courthouse was also evacuated after authorities there received a bomb threat. State police later reported the threat was non-credible. The FBI is aware of these bomb threats to polling locations and report that many appear to originate from Russian email domains. The FBI reports none of the threats have been determined to be credible thus far. An investigation is underway.
