Officials with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is investigating the cause of a large brush fire that broke out last Friday near Canoe Creek State Park. Authorities say windy, dry conditions had crews struggling to bring the blaze under control, which they eventually did on Sunday. Fortunately no one was injured, and no structural damage occurred. Reportedly over 200 acres were scorched by the fire.
