There’s a warning about a new scam making the rounds. The Pennsylvania State Police yesterday issued a warning about a Bitcoin scam. Troopers say they’ve gotten calls from people who say scammers had them withdraw huge amounts of cash, then deposit it into Bitcoin machines, provide a receipt, and then the money is transferred away. The State Police say once that happens, the money is gone. Most of the time, troopers say, the scammers pretend to be with a bank. The State Police are telling people not to give financial information, or take financial advice from callers or texters who you didn’t call or text first.
