Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro said yesterday he will hold off until hearing president-elect Donald Trump’s plan on mass deportation, before deciding how he will respond. Other Democratic governors have already spoken out forcefully against the idea of deportation. There are an estimated 160,000 unauthorized residents in Pennsylvania. Trump has said he will declare a national emergency to carry out his campaign promise of mass deportations of migrants living in the U.S. without legal permission. He has promised to get started on the deportations as soon as he enters office.
