An inmate who escaped the Blair County Prison through a ventilation system and was later caught in Philadelphia, will be spending 19-and-a-half to 47 years in prison. In September, Isaiah Tilghman pled guilty to charges of escape, theft, conspiracy and drug delivery. About a year ago, Tilghman escaped the Blair County Prison through a ventilation shaft, and was on the run for several months. Four months after his escape, U.S. Marshals arrested Tilghman in Philadelphia, where he was then transported back to Blair County. Tilghman’s crimes reportedly started when he was only 14, and throughout his life he has been charged with drug trafficking, robbery, and theft. Before his arrest in Altoona, Tilghman had already served two prison sentences.
