During a press conference last night at the Blair County Courthouse, regarding the apprehension of Luigi Mangione, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro addressed those individuals who view Mangione as a folk hero. Shapiro told reporters “Hear me on this, he is no hero. The real hero in this story is the person who called 911 at McDonalds this morning.” Mangione was spotted and recognized by a customer at McDonalds on Plank Road in Altoona yesterday morning. The customer then approached an employee who immediately called 911. Mangione is wanted for the shooting death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City, last week.
