NY Gov. Expects Indictment Soon in Mangione Case

New York Governor Kathy Hochul expects the Manhattan District Attorney to announce an indictment at any moment against the man suspected of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.  Hochul says the evidence against Luigi Mangione is very compelling.  She says once the indictment comes, she will issue a warrant for extradition and expects a judge to sign off on it, despite Mangione’s Altoona attorney, Thomas Dickey, fighting to keep his client in Pennsylvania, where he was arrested on Monday.  Dickey has challenged the evidence, and has made claims there is no evidence to suggest Mangione is the suspect in the CEO’s killing.  The NYPD says fingerprints found where Thompson was shot to death in Manhattan last week, match the suspect’s, and the gun found on Mangione matches shell casings at the crime scene.
