One northeast Pennsylvania lawmaker wants to take President Biden’s name off the Joe Biden Expressway in Scranton. State Rep. Brenda Pugh yesterday said the president’s decision to end the prison sentence for Kids for Cash Judge Michael Conahan will ‘forever be a scar’ on the people of northeast Pennsylvania. She wants the road named for someone else. Scranton City leaders named the expressway after Biden back in 2021. Pugh has told Scranton’s mayor that she needs to lead on the name change. The president ended Conahan’s sentence earlier this month. He was under house arrest for taking kickbacks to send kids from the Scranton-area to prison almost two decades ago.
