Healthcare shooting suspect, Luigi Mangione could be back in New York City as early as today. Mangione’s lawyer says his client will waive extradition during a court hearing at the Blair County Courthouse this morning, at which point the NYPD will likely bring him straight to New York City to be booked and processed. He could be arraigned later this afternoon. Mangione has been indicted on first-degree murder as terrorism and other counts for the shooting death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson earlier this month. Mangione, who was on the run, was apprehended by Altoona Police, after they received a tip he was at McDonald’s on Plank Road.
