The man accused of attacking an officer, with a knife, inside the Sylvia H. Rambo federal courthouse in Harrisburg on Monday was previously convicted of murder. The man was identified yesterday as 56-year-old Joseph Camino, who was released on parole earlier this year after he was convicted of third-degree murder in Indiana County in 1989. Camino, who was shot and wounded in Monday’s attack, was charged with assault of a federal officer and a pair of weapons charges. U.S. Marshals report that Camino is in stable condition at a hospital, and security guards weren’t injured. The total maximum penalties for the offenses are 27 years in prison.
