The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is starting off 2025 with an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. The department is offering First Day Hikes at 46 state parks and one forest district on New Year’s Day. The guided walks are typically one to two miles and are meant to promote healthy lifestyles. A First Day Hike is planned at Canoe Creek State Park in Hollidaysburg beginning at 2:00 p.m. For more details go to the DCNR webpage.
