Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is among those paying tribute to Former President Jimmy Carter. In a statement posted on social media, Shapiro remembered Carter as a “humble, generous, and admirable public servant” both as president, and in the years after. Carter died yesterday at the age of 100. The governor has ordered flags across the commonwealth be lowered to half-staff until January 28th, to honor the 39th president.
