A New Jersey Man has been arrested in Somerset County for his alleged connection to a retail theft ring that spread across several states. According to the Somerset County District Attorney, Molly Metzger, Steven Ranke was arrested yesterday, by state police after he fled from authorities’ at the Somerset County Walmart. Ranke is accused of being involved in a theft ring involving 24 stores in numerous states. State police say when he was arrested he had more than $300 of counterfeit money on him. Ranke has been placed in the Somerset County Prison. Bail has been set at $200,000.
