Altoona fire crews are still at the scene of a multi-building fire on 11th Street and 13th Avenue, in downtown Altoona. Details are still coming in, but we do know residents in three buildings have been evacuated, and Penelec was called in to turn electricity off along that block. Fire crews report the blaze started in one building and spread to buildings on either side. The Altoona Fire Department had to call in extra crews to assist. Fortunately, there are no reports of injury. Cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The fire was called in around 12:30 this afternoon.
