The hopes of a national championship for the Penn State Nittany Lions were dashed last night when they lost to Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl by a score of 27-24. The season is now over for Penn State, while the Irish will move on to the national title game on January 20th where they will face either Ohio or Texas. Penn State finished the season with 13 wins, the most in program history.
