Guilty pleas have halted the Blair County trial of a Tyrone man, accused of soliciting a teenager for sex in 2023. Reportedly, 54-year-old Kenneth Sweeney, whose jury trial began on Tuesday, halted those proceedings, by pleading guilty. Sweeney pled guilty to felony charges of criminal solicitation of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 16, and other related counts in this case. Sweeney has been incarcerated in the county prison since 2023. He will now be transferred to a state prison.
