Proposing the bill were Democratic State Representatives Benjamin Sanchez and Joe Webster. The measure aligns with recommendations from the AMA, and would still record sex for medical data purposes. Lawmakers say it’s a step toward ensuring Pennsylvanians can live authentically, without bureaucratic barriers.
