Johnstown Police have identified the “witness” who falsely accused another individual in last week’s deadly shooting at a home on D Street. Police say 19-year-old Ethan Nowak reportedly admitted to lying about who he saw kill 22-year-old Anthony Cobaugh last Thursday evening. Authorities say Nowak lied to, in their words, “protect” the real shooter. Nowak has been charged with hindering apprehension, and making false reports to law enforcement. He is currently in the Cambria County Prison where bail has been at $100,000. Police have yet to identify the actual alleged shooter in this case.
