Boil Water Notice In Section Of Altoona

The Altoona Water Authority has issued a boil water advisory for the area of 4^th Street between 25^th and 26^th Avenues, because of a water main break on 4^th Street.  The break is currently being repaired.  The notice remains in effect until tests are completed.  Testing usually takes between 36 and 72 hours.  It is advised you boil water for one minute before using it to drink, cook or use for personal hygiene.  The water authorities will let residents know when the advisory has been lifted.
