A former Westmont High School grad and her family were among those killed in Wednesday night’s deadly collison over Washington D.C. Family members, who still reside in Johnstown, reportedly have confirmed the deaths of Donna Smojice Livingston, her husband Peter and their two daughters, 11-year-old Alydia, and 14-year-old Everly. They were among the 64 passengers and crew of American Airlines Flight 5342. Reportedly, Donna had moved to Virginia after she graduated from college, and that’s where she met her husband. Authorities with the NTSB and FAA are investigating the crash, which occurred Wednesday evening as both the plane, and a military helicopter were approaching the Reagan National Airport. For reasons unknown at this time, the helicopter flew into the plane, causing both aircrafts to crash into the Potomac River.
