State officials are reporting the first case of bird flu in Lancaster County. According to the Department of Agriculture, at least one bird at a commercial poultry operation in East Lampeter Township tested positive. The total number of infected birds in the flock is not known at this time. Lancaster is now the fifth Pennsylvania county with a confirmed bird flu case in the current outbreak.
