The Cambria County Humane Society will be getting a new home. Reportedly, the Richland Township Zoning Board has approved a proposal for a new shelter to be located at the corner of Oakridge and Jari Drives. The new site will span 12 acres. The current shelter, which is over 40 years old, serves about 2,000 animals each year, and sits on an acre of space.
