Firefighters in Altoona were dispatched to a garage fire yesterday afternoon on the 1300 block of 30th Avenue. The crews reportedly arrived quickly, and despite the high winds, were able to contain the blaze to the garage. As a result of the fire, the roof collapsed, and the building sustained heavy damage. Fortunately no one was injured. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
