A Juniata County man is behind bars in Huntingdon County today for allegedly kidnapping a woman, later breaking into her home, and leading police on a high speed chase. Arrested was 32-year-old Bo Reed of East Waterford. According to state police, Reed allegedly forced a woman into his vehicle and restrained her at the Dollar General Store in Huntingdon County on Thursday. When police spotted his car, a high speed chase ensued in which speeds of 120 mph were reached. Hours later the woman called authorities letting them know that Reed had released her, and had fled on foot. Later, Reed was found at the woman’s Mt. Union home, trying to break in. He was arraigned on charges that included kidnapping, burglary, unlawful restraint, and drug-related offenses. He is currently in the Huntingdon County Prison. Bail has been denied. His preliminary hearing is slated for March 5th.
