Pennsylvania is planning to change its voter registration system. The Department of State says the new Civix system will not only serve as the voter database but will also handle other duties including election results, campaign finance reporting, and lobbyist registration. It will replace the more than 20-year-old Statewide Uniform Registry of Electors, which officials say is still reliable, but outdated. The State Department expects the new system to be fully implemented by the 2028 election.
