Speculation is growing that quarterback Aaron Rodgers could be wearing a Steelers uniform next season. NBC’s Pro Football Talk is citing “a source with knowledge of the situation” that the Steelers and Rodgers could come to terms as early as today. The Steelers would not be able to sign Rodgers until today, when he’s officially released by the New York Jets. There are unconfirmed reports he could sign a two-year contract worth $50 million. Talks with Rodgers reportedly intensified after Steelers quarterback Justin Fields agreed to sign a two-year contract with the Jets.
