Altoona attorney Thomas Dickey has reportedly filed a second pre-trial motion regarding his client Luigi Mangione. Mangione was apprehended in Altoona last December by city police after he was on the run for allegedly gunning down the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, in New York City. In his latest motion, Dickey said the Altoona Police had no right to arrest or question his client. Dickey reportedly claims that when police approached Mangione at McDonalds on Plank Road, they lacked reasonable suspicion tying him to the murder of CEO Brian Thompson. Last month Dickey filed another motion to suppress the evidence against his client. Dates for a judge to rule on Dickey’s two pre-trial motions have not been set.
