Former Pennsylvania U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz is now in charge of Medicare and Medicaid. The Senate confirmed Oz yesterday as administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in a party-line vote. The television personality ran as the Republican candidate in Pennsylvania’s 2022 U.S. Senate race, losing to Democrat John Fetterman. Oz now assumes a role that provides health insurance to roughly 160 million Americans.
