We put the spotlight on an upcoming “Homegrown Rocker” guest for our latest “Local Song of the Week.” Danville-based singer, songwriter and educator Van Wagner will be on the July 11 edition of the “Homegrown Rocker,” with an interview and performances recorded during the recent Smoked Country Jam Bluegrass Festival near Cross Fork, PA. According to the bio on his website, “Van Wagner. Born in Pennsylvania. Lives in Pennsylvania. Makes music. Mined coal. Logged trees. Teaches kids.” We’ll get into all of those aspects of Van’s career on the July 11 program.
