Backyard Beats Listing 12/31/21: New Year’s Eve and Welcome 2022!

Here is a listing of area live music and online music happenings for the weekend and week of Friday, December 31 through Thursday, January 6.

New Year’s Eve has arrived, and numerous live music events around the region will help to usher in New Year 2022. Browse the listing below to see who is playing where. You may want to check ahead to make sure the scheduled shows are still happening, as several events have been cancelled due to COVID-19 or other illness-related issues. (As of this posting, none of the listed events here have been cancelled.)

This New Year’s Eve also marks the return of First Night in State College, with several indoor live music events and other activities planned. Due to local regulations, masks that cover your nose and mouth are required for all indoor events. A First Night Button is required for all performances; donation for a button is $10. Events listed for First Fest were still scheduled to take place as of the time of this posting (a few events had been cancelled due to COVID and other issues.)

SUPPORT LIVE MUSIC! And have a HAPPY NEW YEAR 2022!
