AMED HAS REACHED A NEW CONTRACT WITH ITS ORGANIZED UNION WORKERS.

A REPORT IN THE ALTOONA MIRROR INDICATES THAT THE NEW DEAL IS FOR 3 YEARS AND WILL GIVE THE WORKES A PAY RAISE OF 4.5% THIS YEAR, AND 3% FOR EACH OF THE NEXT TWO YEARS. THE NEW DEAL IS SUBJECT TO A UNION APPROVAL VOTE, WHICH IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR SOON. THE REPORT ALSO STATED THAT AMED HAS APPROVED IS OPERATING BUDGET FOR 2022, WHICH STANDS AT ROUGHLY $32 MILLION. AMED SAYS THAT HEALTH INSURANCE COSTS ROSE NEARLY 10% FOR THIS YEAR, AND IS DEAING WITH NEARLY $1.1 MILLION IN BAD DEBT AND DEPRECIATION. AMED SAYS THAT IT WILL ALSO, HAVE TO DEAL WITH RISING FUEL COSTS IN THE COMING YEAR AS WELL. THE REPORT SAYS THAT SOME BASE CHARGES FOR SERVICES WILL INCREASE BY 8%.
