STATE POLICE ARE LOOKING FOR A MAN WHO ASSAULTED A WOMAN THEN APPARENTLY FLED THE STATE.
SOMERSET STATE POLICE REPORTED THAT THEY INVESTIGATED A DOMESTIC ASSAULT ON JANUARY 14th. THE REPORT INDICATES THAT 40 YEAR OLD ROGER MENARD OF CENTRAL CITY IN JOHNSTOWN ALLEGEDLY HIT A WOMAN DURING AN ALTERCATION, AND PUSHED HER HEAD INTO A PIECE OF FURNITURE, CAUSING AN INJURY. MENARD SS ALSO ACCUED OF HNITTING THE WOMAN IN THE FACE WITH A CLOSED FIST. TROOPERS SAY THAT THEY BELIEVE MENARD LEFT THE STATE AFTER THE INCIDENT, AND THEY ARE NOW SEARCHING FOR HIM. CHARGES OF ASSAULT WITH BODILY INJURY WERE FILED AT A DISTRICT JUSTICE OFFICE.
