A WANTED MAN FROM BLAIR COUNTY WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY THIS WEEK.
WTAJ REPORTED THAT POLICE ARRESTED 26 YEAR OLD APACHE ECKENRODE FROM ANTIS TWP WAS ARRESTED AFTER HE WAS SPOTTED AT A LOCAL STORE ON MONDAY. THE REPORT STATED THAT ECKENRODE WAS WANTED BY ALTOONA POLICE FOR A VEHICLE CRASH LAST APRIL WHERE HE ALLEGEDLY RAN A RED LIGHT AND STRUCK ANOTHER VEHICLE. POLICE SAY THEY FOUND DRUGS, A HANDGUN AND AMMUNITION ALONG WITH A KNIFE IN ECKENRODE’S POSSESSION WHEN HE WAS CAUGHT. HE NOW FACES CHARGES IN BOTH THE TRAFFIC CASE AND HIS ARREST FOR DRUGS AND WEAPONS POSSESSION. BAIL WAS SET AT $30,000 FOR EACH CASE.
