A REPORT IN THE ALTOONA MIRROR INDICATES THAT CAMBRIA COUNTY’S BOND RATING STATUS HAS BEEN ELEVATED TO AN A- STATUS, WHICH MEANS THAT ANYONE WHO WANTS TO DO BUSINESS WITH THE COUNTY CAN DO SO WITH THE COUNTY GETTING GOOD INTEREST RATES FOR ANY BUSINESS WILLING TO WORK WITH THE COUNTY. CAMBRIA COUNTY HAS ALSO HAD A RUN OF 5 CONSECITIUVE YEARS OF A GENERAL FUND BUDGET SURPLUS, WHICH GIVES IT A GREATER POSITION OF LIQUIDITY. COMMISSION PRESIDENT TOM CHERNISKY SAYS THIS WILL BE HUGE IN TERMS OF ATTRACTING NEW BUSINESSES INTO THE CAMBRIA COUNTY REGION.
