WTAJ REPORTS THAT ALTOONA POLICE FOUND THREE CHILDREN LIVING IN WHAT WAS DESCRIBED AS FILTH WHEN THEY RESPONDED TO A DIABETIC EMERGENCY AT A HOME ON 10th STREET LAST FRIDAY. POLICE REPORTED THERE WERE THREE ADULTS AND THREE CHILDREN ALL UNDER THE AGE OF THREE, ALL LIVING IN THE HOUSE WHCH HAD INSECTS ON THE WALLS, ANIMAL FECES ON A STAIRCASE AND HAD A STRONG FOUL ODOR. AN OVEN DOOR WAS COMPLETELY TAKEN OFF OF THE OVEN, AND ANOTHER DOOR LEADING INTO THE HOUSE WAS NOT ON HINGES. TAKEN INTO CUSTODY WERE WENDY HOOVER, LAUSHAWNDA JACKSON AND BOBBY HINES. THE CHILDREN WERE RESCUED AND PLACED IN TEMPORARY CARE.
